There is a sad reality that even children can have panic attacks. Many adults wonder can children have panic attacks, and indeed they can. They are up against the same stress that adults are, it usually just comes from different sources, such as school and friends. So can children have panic attacks? Absolutely. If a child has a panic attack, it should be handles in exactly the same way. The child must visualize something relaxing or calming, so that his or her nervous system and body can relax and therefore the symptoms will slowly dissolve. Eating certain foods with lots of sugar or caffeine can also boost heart rate, so it's a good idea to not let your child consume excessive amounts of either of those types of foods.
