Contrary to popular belief, Agoraphobia is not the fear of open spaces, but the fear of what may happen outside of our perceived "safe-zone." As I'm sure is probably the case for most people, there are places in my life that have become sorts of "safe havens" for me. Most commonly this could be our home, but could also be the place where we grew up, our office, car, cottage, or any other place in which we feel safe and comfortable.
